Why We Changed Our Name
After several years of operating as Sage Consulting (since 2012), it became clear that the work we were doing and the work we were growing into needed a name that reflected more depth, more creative range, and more intention.
Sage Consulting served us well, but it no longer captured the full scope of what we offer or the way we support founders, leaders, and builders today.
So we evolved into Sage Advisory & Studio.
This shift is not cosmetic. It is directional. It reflects a philosophy, a posture, and a more expansive way of working.
Why We Changed Our Name
Sage Consulting was founded in 2010, and from the very beginning it carried the heart of my work: clarity, strategy, and grounded support. But over the last fifteen years, both the world and the work have evolved. And so have I.
If there is one thing I excel at, it is the art of the pivot.
Not frantic shifting, but intentional evolution.
Every iteration of my business has been a response to growth, insight, and a deeper understanding of what founders truly need.
This latest shift is not a departure. It is a natural and progressive next step.
Sage Consulting served its season well, but it no longer reflected the breadth of what we were offering or the depth of how we support people today. The language needed to catch up with the work.
Which is why we evolved into Sage Advisory & Studio.
This name honours the clarity of strategy and the creativity of the human experience. It reflects a wiser, more integrated expression of the work I have been doing all along.
What “Consulting” No Longer Described
Consulting, by nature, is transactional. It suggests linear solutions, fixed deliverables, and problem solving from a distance. It is rooted in old models of business support: analysis, recommendations, reports.
And while strategy and structure are still a core part of what we do, our work has grown far beyond traditional consulting.
We do not simply deliver answers.
We partner with people.
We guide.
We co-create.
We build alongside you.
Our work touches the inner life of the founder as much as the outer structure of the business. It weaves clarity, strategy, creative development, reflection, and leadership maturity into the process.
“Consulting” felt too narrow for that.
Why “Advisory” Fits
Advisory is grounded, relational, and strategic. It reflects the reality of our work: thoughtful guidance, honest insight, and support that strengthens both the leader and the business.
It says:
- We walk with you, not ahead of you.
- We help you think clearly and build wisely.
- We are partners in clarity, not vendors of tactics.
- We design strategy with you, not at you.
Advisory holds space for conversation, discernment, refinement, and growth. It is steady. It is personal. It is long-term.
Why “Studio” Matters
The Studio is where creativity, depth, and expression live. It represents:

- Story work
- Voice
- Substack and long-form content
- Workshops and intensives
- Founder development
- Creative exploration
- Spiritual grounding
- Inner work that strengthens outer leadership
The Studio holds your voice and your vision, not just your operations. It is where ideas are shaped, refined, expressed, and built into something meaningful.
This is not the kind of work you find in a traditional consulting firm.
